Animating an Explosion Video Tutorial #16369
Animating an Explosion Video Tutorial

"Animating an Explosion"
In this video tutorial, you will be shown how to create a great looking explosion using Flash. You will learn:

  • How important coming up with the design for the overall explosion is.
  • How to animate into the main design.
  • How important timing is to the animation.
  • How to divide the art up into symbols so that it can be tweened smoothly.
  • How to clean up and shade the explosion, keeping it organic looking.

You are shown three different explosions that have been animated and how you can divide an explosion into even more symbols in order to achieve a smoother animation with great looking perspective!

About the instructor:
The video tutorials are created by Ryan Simmons, who has been working in animation for 13 years at studios such as Warner Bros. and Dreamworks on numerous feature films.
